6 months to #gavinkatty1209

It is exactly 6 months to our wedding. We have hashtag-ged this important day as #gavinkatty1209. The days are getting nearer and nearer and I am getting more and more panicked.

To be honest, we were quite relaxed at the beginning of the year. It is like “Aiyah, we just ROM-ed 6 months ago and now 9 more months to the traditional wedding, sure got enough time one lah” and we literally don’t even bother to start to plan for it. It is like we have already married so we can’t be bother about this traditional wedding. BUT WE WERE SO WRONG! The fact is that traditional wedding is more tedious than solemnization.

So what exactly we have done? Using this blog space to keep up with our timeline will be good. At least we know what we have done and what we have lack of.

1. Hotel Venue - We have done with our hotel inspection and decided to go ahead with Grand Park City Hall. Reasons are that we really love the exclusive foyer, pillarless ballroom and the high ceiling. I am quite worried over the march-in which will properly take less than 30 seconds! I thought that I will not really mind about it. But come to think of it, I do actually care. Damn sad.

2. Videographer – Honestly, we started to do our research for videographer and photography in early December. But we dragged all the way to January and we started to panic. Only until early February, we decided to engage Beyond Pictures again. They are the one who did our solemnization video. We love the feel that they gave. Since we are in a rather good relationship with them, isn’t it better to engage them again? Can’t wait for the shoots that we are going to take in April/May!

3. Photographer – We decided to outsource the Photography instead but till now we have not even confirm the photography. Hubby was very particular about photography thus we kept delaying. I am getting so panic already! Any recommendation? We are actually open up for sponsorship as well. Hehehe.

4. Photobooth – Photobooth is getting popular in weddings and it actually spice up the whole atmosphere. We are actually looking for 2 hours package instead, we feel that 2 hours will be sufficient enough. Any recommendation as well? Or sponsorship? Hahahah

5. Wedding Shoes - Settled! I am pretty lucky and honored to have Sinderella for the sponsorship of wedding shoes. The best thing is that they do customized as well. I can’t wait to visit their outlet and pick my wedding shoes!

6. Wedding theme – We have finally confirmed our wedding theme for the day.. Not sure if we will continue this theme at night. I will reveal when the days are getting nearer.

7. Brothers and Sisters – We have already decided to have 6 brothers and 6 sisters. I will reveal them when the days are getting nearer as well!

8. Outfits for brothers and sisters – Still in the mid of discussion and really thankful for one of the sisters’ help who is Yen Yee (Alright, I shall reveal her first! I don’t really mind if she is married, I think there are no such rule that married woman cannot be bridesmaid right?) She really helps me a lot with this. Can’t wait to finalise everything because it is almost driving me crazy!

9. Band - We decided to engage White Ribbon Live Music. We got Ruth Miaoru (魏妙如) as well as Sugie Phua. He will be my emcee of the day as well!

10. Prewedding Photoshoot – We will be having our prewedding photos taken in Singapore with Labelle Couture. I have received TONS of email asking me about my prewedding photoshoot in Korea. HAHA. But they are not my actual prewedding photoshoot. We will be taking them in May. I sincerely pray for the good weather, no haze and no rain.

I can’t remembered what else do we have to look out because it seems like we have lots of things unsettled! Name list, guodali, anchuang, invitation cards and many more! Omg. I hope I do not behave like a bridezilla. Any tips for being a less paranoid bride?

With love
