Day 2: Taichung - Taipei - Beitou

Day 2 in Taichung/Taipei

Here we are, checking out Taichung City Inn Hotel. We had our brunch nearby before we travelled back to Taipei. Yes. We came Taichung for a day only because our time was so constraint. Quite stupid to come here just for the night markets. HAHA! But we enjoyed a lot. And so regretted that our trip is only 5 days. Did not manage to bring him to Sun Moon Lake and other scenic attractions. But I am sure we will visit here again and again and again. HAHA!

That was our brunch

I love Taiwan rice so much! Just give me a bowl of Taiwan rice and I can just eat it plain. Haha!

Taking railway train back. After we bought our tickets, we literally had no idea which platform to go as it was not even stated in the tickets. Struggled here and there. End up, we managed to ask one of the taiwanese and he guided us. So nice of him!

The ticket machine that “eats” your ticket.
His morning look! *CUTE*

The schedule. Trust me, you will have a hard time understanding. Haha!

You have to double check the name of the train that came. Cause it might appear at your platform but it might not be the one that you are taking. Confusing uh?

We waited quite awhile actually. But if you understand the schedule that I posted earlier, it will be better. At least you know what time is the train coming beforehand and you can plan your schedule according to it.

Back to New Wurih Railway Station and we headed to take our High Speed Rail to Taipei.
On our way to take our High Speed Rail at Taichung. It was the same route as the one we came yesterday.

Got our ticket from Taichung to Taipei at 700NT ($30)

Journey to Taipei.

This boy of mine immediately dozed off after a while. Can’t help but to take out my handphone to “stomp” him. Haha! Seriously, got so tired anot? Sleep until like that. O.O

Finally we have reached Taipei. We trained over to our second hotel – AquaBella Hotel. Me, as a good tour guide, wanted him to experience hot spring in Taiwan. So we dropped by at Beitou and stayed there for a night. A very caring tour guide right? I know. Hahaha!

After we dropped our luggage (As we are only able to check in at 5pm), we then procede to our next destination – Danshui.

The surrounding in Beitou! I love this place. Rural and quiet. The only problem we have was to make our way to the MRT station. We seems like we were trying to walk out of the maze. In the end, we took a cab and it was just a 2 minutes ride. Damn stupid.

Trained to Danshui MRT!

Reached Danshui. If you are heading to Danshui old street, exit from the entrance and turn left will do.

The map.

Reached Danshui Old Street.

We smell food again! *Drools* We had all these! Haha!
The above delicacies is the famous Danshui Ah-Gei. I don’t really like it personally but he seems to be okay with it. Haha! I love this! The 鸟蛋!

Came across this mini museum that showcased lots of weird things. You have to pay in order to go in. But we didn’t. Managed to capture these outside.

After that, we walked along the old shop houses along the riverbanks. Lots of delicacies waiting for you. We just couldn’t stop eating! Haha!

Ice cream again. We got the tallest one at only 25NT ($1.07)

It tastes good but not as good as the one that we have ate in Fong Jia Night Market. =(
Totally got so messed up by this ice cream. They started to drip real fast. Haha! So different from the one that we took yesterday. Super gey kiang, got the tallest ice cream yet we couldn't finish it. Lol.
He kept saying that eating this ice cream looked very obscene. IF you get what he means. GUYS! *Roll Eyes*
This place is definitely a good place for dating. Haha! And is a good place to catch the sun set!

炸鲜奶. I would most probably rate this as 5/10 only? Not that nice I would say.

After all the yummy street food, we boarded the ferry to Fisherman’s Wharf.
How to go: Transfer to Bus 26, 836, 837 near the MRT (15NT ($0.64) for about 15 minutes of ride) OR you can take a ferry (Like I did) from the Danshui Ferry Pier. (60NT ($2.50))

You can get the tickets near the Ferry Pier. Don’t worry, you won’t missed them cause they are shouting loud enough that you know they are selling ferry tickets. Haha!
It was about 5-10 minutes ferry ride. I kept teasing at him about the throw up incident in Phuket. OPPS! Reached Fisherman’s Wharf. Indeed. A beautiful place for couples. So envy that taiwanese have so many dating places to go. Unlike Singapore. *sigh*

Totally in love with this place. Perfect. Managed to do a little video. AHHH! I miss that place. Listen to the music behind. It was sang by one of the pub singer over there. Such a smoothing music with such a romantic scenery and of course with such a perfect partner beside you walking along the bridge. *Loves*

And because it was still early. We decided to go over to Shihlin Night Market instead.
How to go: Take train to Jian Tan MRT and then go by Exit 1
Opening Hours: 1700PM to 0100AM
Another round of shopping and eating! However, not much photos were taken as it was too crowded there!

We only walked for one section and headed back to hotel.
Hahaha! My mischievous boy!

Here is our hotel room at Aquabelle Hotel

It was a built in hotspring tub in our room. Damn shiok! Truly hot spring water.

Had a great hotspring bathe and great supper before heading to sleep. Goodnight. Stay tuned for Day 3!
Check out the rest of the post (If you have missed it)
